Animal that represents me

For my logo assignment I chose the cat because it represents me the best. Our shared positive traits include intelligence, quick wittedness, good self-management, and professionalism.  They are good skills to have when in the work force and in the Cyberarts program. In my opinion I couldn't have chosen a better representation of myself.

This is my profile picture describing myself and representing my identity. I am very musically inclined as well as artistic, so I decided to combine the two into one picture. I took a photo of a metal emblem on a  music award plaque because I found it to be symbolic of my interest. The staff, treble clef, and notes of course represent my musical side, but as well the text saying "Etobicoke Board of Education" represents my musical career at my school. I added simple colour enhancements and filters to give a plain photo some flavour and interest. I added a higher saturation and contrast level as well as some golden tint to give the medal a more prestigious appearance. I also cropped it so there is some negative space around the main object to emphasize it and fill in the emptiness that would surround it.
As a musician I find this to be a very appropriate image to represent myself, and with the added filters it finely tunes it to my personal taste.
